President and Chief Executive Officer

Jan A. Vestrum holds a M.Sc. (1984) in engineering from The Norwegian Institute of Technology,Mining Department. He has extensive experience as a senior executive in the resource and technology industries and corporate finance from companies such as Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Merrill Lynch and Christiania Bank (Nordea Bank from 2001).

Jon Steen Petersen - Vice President, Exploration Jon Steen Petersen
Vice President, Exploration

Jon Petersen was the VP of Exploration at Mindex ASA. He has a background as Associate Professor of Geology and Geochemistry from the University of Aarhus, Denmark for 10 years and more than 25 years experience in mineral resources as an active consultant for the industry. Mr Petersen is a member of the Society of Economic Geologists and the Society of Exploration Geochemists.

Brian Clive Spratley - Vice President, Project Development Brian Clive Spratley

Brian Spratley has been consultant for North Atlantic NaturalResources AB (NAN) assisting with the opening of the Storliden Mine in Sweden since 1998. He has an BSc (Hons) in Mining Engineering from the University of Wales, Cardiff (1972), and 30 years of experience in the mining industry. Prior to working with NAN, Mr Spratley worked with the Lundin group acquiring and conducting the feasibility studies on the Tenke Fungurume copper cobalt deposits in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mr. Spratley is a European Engineer, Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.

James Cole holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Glasgow and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1990. He was an Audit Manager with PKF before leaving in 1996 to head the finance function at The African Lakes Corporation plc where he was also Company Secretary. Prior to his appointment with the Group he was International Financial Controller for Ellesse Limited.

Erik O Andersen holds a BSc/Eng from Univ of Saskatchewan and MBA from Univ of Toronto. He has over 30 years experience from the mining industry as a Mine Manager and Managing Director in 5 canadian underground gold mines and he has served as the Senior Mineral Policy Advisor to the Government of Greenland in connection with the establishment of a Greenlandic Minerals Office. Since 1995 he has been MD and CEO of Platinova AS, a leading resource developer in Greenland.

MBA (1994), Chartered Mechanical Engineer (1989), BSc (1986). 19 years project and operations management experience including 9 years working in the Philippines of which the last years was holding the position of Managing Director of Kvaerner Philippines, Inc and EDS Philippines, Inc.

Cameron Belsher is a partner with the law firm Farris, Vaughan,Wills & Murphy which is located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Mr. Belsher has extensive experience in corporate finance and merger and acquisition related matters in the mining, technology and telecommunications industries.

Brian Hosking holds an M Phil (1981) in Geology and an MBA (1987) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He has more than 20 years experience in the resources sector and has had wide exposure to coal, diamond, gold and base metals exploration and mining within southern Africa. Mr Hosking is an executive search consultant and a partner with Meyer Hosking & Associates based in London, United Kingdom.

William LeClair - Director William LeClair

Bill LeClair is Chief Financial Officer of Hot House Growers Income Fund (“HHGIF”), an Income Trust listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, HHGIF is one of North America’s largest growers of greenhouse vegetables. Prior to joining HHGIF in 2003, Bill spent seven years as Vice President, Finance and six years as Vice President, Operations with HHGIF’s previous owner, a Vancouver-based private company operating in the international real estate development industry. Bill holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Accountant (1978) in Canada. Until 1991, he was a principle in the audit and financial advisory services departments of Coopers and Lybrand. He sits on the boards of a number of private companies and is a city councillor in a suburb of Vancouver.
